About
Nordham Cottages: Bay Tree Cottage
Nordham cottages have been operating since 2011 and in that time, voted finalists in the regional tourism awards many times, recognising our attention to detail and our quest to provide the best we can.
Decorated in traditional cottage style and comfortably furnished, Nordham Cottages were originally the gardener's cottages to Fawley House. Located in a quiet residential setting, on the edge of the village, there’s immediate access to stunning Yorkshire Wold's countryside. The cottages amenities nearby include village shops and a pub within half a mile. Each cottage has its own private outdoor south & West facing area with table and chairs to enjoy the sunshine and there’s off-road parking to each property. The famous North Cave Wetlands are half a mile away at the end of Nordham and there’s an array of walks on the doorstep, through parkland and by the village stream towards the Wold’s Way. The village playground, stream, quiet park lane for children’s bikes/scooters, and William’s Den Adventure Play on the edge of the village, make it a perfect place to stay for families.
Well located for a varied holiday, Nordham Cottages are the place to have special times together for families, friends away for a break or for city business with such easy motorway access.
Bay Tree Cottage sleeps 2.
4* Bay Tree Cottage, is part of Nordham Cottages and lies next door to Horseshoe Cottage. Located in the quiet residential setting of Nordham, on the edge of North Cave village, there’s immediate access to stunning Yorkshire Wold's countryside: ‘Walkshire’ is ready and waiting for you!
Bay Tree is decorated in traditional cottage style, tastefully furnished, with a ‘comfortable bed.’ It was originally one of the gardener's cottages to Fawley House next door, which opens its gardens for the National Garden Scheme.
The accommodation comprises kitchen, dining/sitting room, sunny and spacious upstairs bathroom, bedroom with king-sized bed and feature fireplace. The ‘Olde’ wash room outside, opposite the kitchen, has laundry facilities and doubles as a bike store.
Bay Tree cottage has its own private outdoor South & West facing courtyard garden with table & chairs, sunbeds to enjoy the sunshine and has off-road parking for one car. The famous North Cave Wetlands are half a mile away at the end of Nordham and there’s an array of walks from the doorstep, through parkland and by the village stream towards the Wold’s Way.
Horseshoe Cottage (sleeps 5) and Bay Tree Cottage (which sleeps 2), can interlink through the two sitting rooms via two soundproof fire doors to provide accommodation for larger parties or families. Extra beds can be accommodated on request.
