Farm shops and deli's

Whatever you need, farm shops and deli's in East Yorkshire are easy to find, will spoil you for choice and are hard to beat for quality local produce.

Fresh from the fields

East Yorkshire offers incredible places to down rucksacks and set up your own picnic, so pick up a picnic for those long days out in the fresh sea air, indulge in homemade cakes and bakes or take home a fully prepared lobster to a cosy cottage in the Yorkshire Wolds for an easy tasty supper. Drop in at the Farm Shop at Cranswick for a fresh made to order takeaway sandwich or weather depending, visit the cafe within for a tasty breakfast, lunch or slice of cake.

Deli delights

No good Yorkshire day out would be complete without a proper traditional pork pie and the farm shops around East Yorkshire can supply locally made Laveracks pork pies. If in Beverley, head to Vanessa Delicatessen where you will be spoilt for choice by their award winning seasonal produce, sourced from local farms and producers.

Make a day of it

Several the visitor attractions in the area have their own farm shops or deli’s, garden centres or gift shops, including Sledmere House, Burton Agnes Hall and Wolds Way Lavender, all full of tasty treats, handpicked from local suppliers or home-grown gifts.  With a great selection of products, you’ll find all sorts of delicious delights you can take home and enjoy.

East Yorkshire farm shops sell a fantastic variety of potatoes new and main crop, free range eggs, fresh seasonal fruit and home-grown vegetables, salad and much more local produce such as grass-fed beef and free-range hens. They often have cafe and tearooms, ‘pick your own’ fruit and free kids play farms. Look out for themed nights and other crafty events.
