About
Head North along Cardigan road, where you'll see the street that sparked the inspiration for some from the Midsummer collection - a series of 36 watercolours completed while Hockney stayed in Bridlington in 2004. Cardigan road is a residential street with each side lined with a variety of different houses of all shapes and sizes, from bungalows to big family homes. In summer when the trees are in full bloom, the street looks luscious and full of life.
Minutes from Cardigan road is Bridlington's South bay, a walk along the promenade gives you stunning views over the bay and brings you to Bridlington's working harbour. Bridlington Spa's art gallery is well worth a visit and ideal refreshment stop.
