Once through Sands Wood, turn right at the crossroads towards Boynton. Coming in to the clearing on the road to Boynton offers a beautiful view over the Wolds countryside making it easy to see why Hockney was so inspired by the area. This area is recognisable in two of Hockney's paintings from the Midsummer collection, After Rain and Roads and Cornfields.

Close to Boynton, is the ancient Rudston Monolith as well as Burton Agnes Hall and gardens.
