About

Hornsea Mere.....
Yorkshire’s largest natural lake an SSSI and an SPA. It has over 250 acres of navigable water and has been the home of Hornsea Sailing Club since 1946. With a maximum depth of only 2.5 metres it is an ideal lake for beginner sailors.

The club offers a variety of membership options to suit different requirements.
Please see ‘Membership page’ on our website for details and costs.

We sail several classes of boat, but most of the racing now takes place under the umbrella of the handicap Fleet.
