The scenic town of Pocklington, known as the gateway to the Yorkshire Wolds, holds a weekly market every Tuesday in the town centre, featuring a wide range of stalls selling everything from fresh fruit to handcrafted furniture.

The town is also the home of the beautiful Burnby Hall Gardens and Museum, the historic Pocklington School, where anti-slavery campaigner William Wilberforce was a pupil, and has many independent shops.
