Retaining its Quality Coast Away from it All Award, Skipsea beach is a long narrow stretch of sand that has long been popular with holiday makers for a great day out at the seaside, and it's rural location means that it is ideal for those looking for a quieter beach with a more relaxed atmosphere. Visit nearby Skipsea Castle too. This castle was built in 1086 but unfortunately only earthworks remain as the castle was destroyed in the 13th century.
