Snaith and Cowick Town Council are members of Walkers are Welcome and have produced a pack of scenic walks around Snaith and Cowick.
Fifteen Heritage Walks have been created and published with the aid of grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund and LEADER.
Each walk has at least one large information board somewhere on the walk illustrating the cultural and historical importance of the area.
The walks explore the natural beauty of this most westerly part of the East Riding of Yorkshire.
The walks have been devised by linking together existing rights of way and minor roads.
Using them you will be able to discover many interesting, historic and undiscovered parts of the countryside.
Whilst the longest walk is 8 ¾ miles walks can linked to create a walk of over 20 miles without crossing or duplicating sections.
Walks in Snaith start in the station car park where there is free parking.
The walks can be downloaded from the Snaith and Cowick Town Council website www.snaithandcowicktowncouncil.com
