Accessible East Yorkshire

East Yorkshire has a mixture of hills, country, coast and market towns and is remarkably accessible for getting out and about, staying over and visiting attractions.

Accessible accommodation

Looking for wheelchair friendly accommodation? Many of the places to stay on this website will also have accommodation that is either accessible by lift or located on the ground floor which could be suitable for your visit, however they may not provide for all your requirements, and it is recommended that you confirm the specifics directly with your chosen accommodation. For further support and advice, reach out to our tourist information centres.

Accessible attractions

East Yorkshire’s attractions offer varying levels of accessibility, so we recommend checking their websites for the full and up to date information about their facilities. Look out for a link to their accessibility guide. Wheelchairs and scooters are also available at some attractions, such as RSPB Bempton Cliffs, please contact before visiting. If visiting Beverley, attractions such as the Minster have added provisions to develop old buildings to be accessible. In Bridlington, venues such as Brid Spa focus on creating a venue as accessible as possible, providing drop off points, wheelchair access, priority access areas and carer ticket schemes. Many of East Yorkshire's attractions also offer specific events with relaxed performances, dementia friendly showings or SEN sessions.

Look out for events here.
