Plan the best way to travel before setting off and getting to and around East Yorkshire couldn’t be simpler. 

 

Travelling to East Yorkshire

East Yorkshire is positioned in the northeast of the country with rail links (via Hull) bringing you from London and Manchester in around 3 hours. If you are travelling on foot, cycle, or motor vehicle from the South, taking a detour over the Humber Bridge, with its stunning estuary vistas, is a thrilling adventure in itself. Tolls are chargeable for motor vehicles. The area benefits of excellent motorway and road networks, and direct cycle routes from neighbouring areas. 

 

Parking in East Yorkshire

If you are arriving by car, motorhome, or motorbike, you will want to know where you can park during your visit. There are many car parks across the region which will either be operated privately or by the local councils. Most of them have a charge for parking, although there are a number that are free of charge. Please check individual car parks on arrival. Most of the ticket machines accept cash or card payments and some will allow you to pay online. 

 

Have an electric car?

Travelling internationally

Humberside airport (about 55 minutes from Beverley) and Leeds/Bradford airport (about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Beverley) are within easy reach of East Yorkshire, with car hire availability.

For relaxing overnight travel to the area from the continent, P&O Ferries UK based at the port of Hull are within a 30 minute drive of Beverley.

Bus Services

All East Yorkshire buses are operating as per their timetables online. With Traveline Yorkshire Journey Planner, you can plan your journey online, or if you know the number of the bus you can look up its timetable. Depending on where you are travelling from, the National Express serves Hull. 

 

Train services

Trains are running, however it is advisable to plan your journey using the National Rail Journey Planner. Some trains accommodate bicycles, please check online.
