'The Odyssey' GEOLOCATION DISCOVERY TRAIL. Chapter One - 'The Gathering Storm'

About

A free to access geolocation trail telling the first chapter of a newly reimagined version of Homer's classic tales of the Trojan Wars. This version of the story leads you on a gentle walk past a number of Hornsea's points of interest and features the voices of performers from along the Yorkshire Coast.

Enter into a world of ancient Gods and epic battles inspired by Homer's classic works. A modern reinvention of an ageless tale, set across the expanse of the beautiful Yorkshire Coast. The first episode - 'The Gathering Storm' tells of how the Trojan wars began, and introduces many of the major characters in our tale.

The audio trail features the voices of storytellers and performers from across the region, and original works by composers from the Yorkshire Coast. They are available throughout the year and are a great way to experience the drama of the Yorkshire Coast in an outdoor setting whatever the weather.

Alongside the story, the trail introduces you to the town itself, and some of the places you may wish to explore after listening.

To access the walk, simply download the free Echoes Interactive Sound Walks app on your smart device.

Search for 'The Odyssey' or look for walks in your area when visiting the Yorkshire Coast. There are over 25 locations to choose from.

Each chapter of the story will activate by GPS and the narration will give you directions to the next chapter. Enjoy!
