Start Your Journey

  1. An image of people walking in the Yorkshire Wolds

It could be argued for many reasons that Autumn is the best season, Halloween, Bonfire night and the anticipation of Christmas are a few highlights, but what makes it truly stand out is the transformation of the world around us. As the days draw in, it's the idea of comfort and being cosy that is inviting and on the agenda.

  2. An image of a children's wellies jumping in muddy puddles.

East Yorkshire is just as prone to typical British weather, and sometimes on the East Yorkshire Coast the weather can be even more unpredictable, which can mean we have our fair share of grey days, rainy days and sea fret. And when you’re here for the day or a few days it’s handy to know what to do and where to go - especially to keep the kids occupied - so here are some ideas to keep everybody happy when the weather is not the most ideal.

Experience East Yorkshire

  1. An image of a couple eating in Beverley
With its towering gothic Minster, pretty market squares and beautiful Georgian townhouses, it’s a town steeped in history, yet one with an attractive present. From home-cooked market-fare to cafe culture and Michelin starred restaurants, your palate will be pleased with a visit to East Yorkshire’s larder.
  2. Welcome to the Yorkshire Wolds, gently rolling hills extending south from the Yorkshire Coast to the shadow of the Humber Bridge. Whether on foot, cycling, driving or on horseback, discover wide open spaces, vast views, breath-taking landscapes and stunning wildlife.
  3. Bridlington is the ideal choice for a weekend away, a family break, or a day trip in search of the great British seaside holiday. From a mouthwatering Rock Factory to fun filled days out at Sewerby Hall and Gardens to the wheeling colonies of seabirds of the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs.
