Bridlington Ice Trail: Christmas on the Coast

From 11am to 5.30pm on Saturday 15 November and 11am to 3.30pm on Sunday 16 November 2025
Free event

Bridlington is set to sparkle this November, as the town welcomes the return of the Bridlington Ice Trail! Themed 'Christmas on the Coast,' a series of stunning ice sculptures will form a magical trail through the heart of the seaside town. Pick up an ice trail map and have fun exploring Bridlington with your family and friends. Along the way, you'll discover interactive displays and live ice carving, where blocks of ice are transformed into glistening coastal Christmas masterpieces right before your eyes. The ice trail will guide you on a festive journey, with sculptures depicting traditional Christmas scenes and maritime wonders, all reflecting Bridlington's rich coastal heritage.  As night falls, the ice sculptures will come alive with a dazzling display of lights.

The Bridlington Ice Trail promises to be a highlight of East Yorkshire's Christmas events season so wrap up warm and explore the wonders of 'Christmas on the Coast'. Should you need a helping hand on your icy quest, our friendly team at the Bridlington Tourist Information Centre will be there to guide you every step of the way.

Live ice carvings

If you've ever wondered how ice sculptures are made, be sure to come along to our live ice carving where you can watch the team from Glacial Art in action.

The live ice carving will begin around 11am on both the Saturday and Sunday outside HSBC on Manor Street, taking around 3 hours to complete.

Interactive ice carving wall

If you're feeling inspired and fancy trying your hand at some ice carving, head to our huge carving wall on Garrison Square where the team from Glacial Art will be on hand to help.

The ice carving wall will be open from 11.30am on both days.

Fire and ice shows

Prepare for a weekend of fire and ice! Each day there will be two 15-minute performances which will feature ice sculpting using chainsaws and power tools, synchronised with a choreographed pyrotechnic display set to music.

Fire and ice shows will take place at 1pm and 4pm on the Saturday and 1pm and 3.30pm on the Sunday at Regent Gardens.

Other entertainment

Adding to the festivities, there will be plenty more going on across the weekend to keep you entertained. Expect the joyful jingling of Morris Dancers alongside the uplifting sounds of the All For One Choir. And for a magical touch, Santa himself will be making a special appearance!

A whole weekend of Christmas fun in Bridlington

Alongside the spectacular Bridlington Ice Trail, there will be lots more Christmas activities to enjoy. Bridlington's Christmas Food Festival will be taking place all weekend too on King Street, providing the perfect opportunity to enjoy some festive feasting and do some Christmas shopping.
