What's on at Beverley Festival of Christmas

Beverley Festival of Christmas has three traditional Victorian Christmas markets selling everything from festive food and drink, to arts and crafts. Last year more than 120 stallholders brought their high quality Christmas gifts, homeware, tasty food and drink, jewellery and much more to the Christmas festival.

The independent stallholders make the market the special and unique event that it is, with the majority of the traders being local to the area.

Soak up the sights, smells and sounds as you wander around the markets and enjoy a range of festive family entertainment including live music, dancing, carols and more. There's so much to keep the kids entertained with traditional Victorian fairground rides and live entertainment, music and dancing.

Saturday Market

10am - 4pm

Bustling cobbled streets of the historic marketplace 'Saturday Market' in the heart of Beverley.

The stunning Georgian Quarter shopping area is overlooked by St Mary’s Church and the 15th Century North Bar.

Come into the warm and wonder at this spectacular and beautiful church, filled with Christmas music and a warm welcome.

Marvel at the wonderful architecture, ceiling of golden stars and stained-glass windows and join in with Christmas carols.

● Mini Carol Services from 10-10.30am, 11-11.30am, 12.30-1pm, 2-2.30pm and 3-3.30pm.

● Refreshments - tea, coffee, hot chocolate, mulled wine, mince pies.

● Children’s activities include making stained glass windows, angels and stars.

Beverley Reindeer Rampage

Saturday 7th November to Tuesday 31st December

Beverley Reindeer Rampage is a self-guided Christmas trail around Beverley’s shops, cultural sites and eateries.

Pick up a free trail sheet from Beverley Tourist Information Centre inside Champney Treasure House.

How does the trail work?

The reindeers have made their annual trip to Beverley to spread festive cheer across the town. They have been spotted creating mischief in shop windows across the town centre whilst preparing for the festivities. Christmas is approaching and it’s time to round them up. Can you help guide them back and reunite Father Christmas with his herd?

Simply follow the route marked on the map and use the clues to find the reindeers rampaging in the town centre’s cultural sites and shops. Write the name of the reindeer and their shop in your table, crossing off the letter found within the snow globe.

A lazy reindeer has not been joining in the festive fun! Unscramble the remaining letters to find out which one!

Beverley Minster Christmas Tree Festival

10am - 4pm

Step into a festive wonderland at Beverley Minster this December. Home to the country’s largest display of individually decorated real fir trees, this dazzling event fills the medieval church with sparkle, colour and the scent of Christmas.

150 real fir trees, each decorated by local groups, schools and organisations. Wander the trail and enjoy the creativity on display.
Charming hand-crafted reindeer and wooden sleigh for festive, family photos.
A children’s activity book and quiz to keep young visitors enchanted.
Hot chocolate, mulled wine, Baileys, gingerbread men and mince pies to warm your hands and heart.

Beverley Minster Christmas Tree Festival runs from Friday 4th December to Sunday 13th December 2026.

Take time out from the bustling streets in the calm surroundings of the Beverley Guildhall.

Alongside the current exhibition "Playgrounds to Pixels" there are games in the exhibition room as well as the usual activities in the courtroom, including the ever-popular paperchain challenge and lucky dips. There are also refreshments upstairs in the parlour.

The Guildhall is located at the end of Register Square and will be open from 10am to 3pm.
