If you like to plan your break away around lots of things to do, then you're in luck as East Yorkshire is a year-round destination with a packed events programme running throughout the year.


Spring events

As the longer, warmer days arrive, East Yorkshire kicks off events season in style! Love vintage vehicles? Race the Waves offers an action-packed weekend of vintage vehicles roaring across Bridlington’s South Beach – you won’t want to miss it. Want to show off your carefully crafted steampunk attire? Each year Bridlington Spa hosts a huge steampunk gathering. Foodies will loves the annual Great British Food Festival held at Burton Constable Hall with its fantastic choice of street food, stalls filled with local produce and live entertainment. Or if you prefer to simply relax and enjoy the views as some of the world’s largest inflatable kites take the to skies over the cliffs of Bridlington then you might want to add the Bridlington Kite Festival to your list of things to do.

Summer highlights

The sun is shining high in the sky and East Yorkshire’s events season is in full swing! Be loud and proud and come out to support LGBTQ+ communities at Bridlington Pride, one of the region’s most colourful events. Put your glad rags on and celebrate all things vintage at Bridlington's 1940s and 50s Festival or meet giant fantastical creatures on the streets of historic Beverley at the bi-annual Beverley Puppet Festival. The summer brings with it many memorable musical moments including a Jazz and Blues Festival at Burton Agnes Hall, a stellar line up of tribute acts at the award-winning Tribfest and Bridlington Spa plays host to one of the UK’s largest Northern Soul events which is a sell out every year. Time to throw some shapes on the dancefloor!
