Shopping areas

Exploring a store that is one of a kind and finding something you simply couldn’t buy anywhere else is a very special type of shopping experience and an experience you can find here, right across our many market towns and villages.

Beverley

Bustling Beverley is a shopper's dream with a fantastic selection of big name brands and quirky independents lining its cobbled streets. Toll Gavel is the main shopping thoroughfare which connects Wednesday Market and Saturday Market, two vibrant market squares. The larger of the two is Saturday Market and this is where you'll find Beverley's weekly market, with traders setting up stall within sight of St Mary's Church and Market Cross. Other shopping areas to explore include North Bar Within, St Mary's Arcade, Ladygate and Dyer Lane which all have thriving communities of independents.

If your passion is for things of the past the explore one of the largest antique centres in the North. St Crispin Antiques has over 100 dealers, a huge range of collectibles and antiques and a delightful coffee shop with beautiful tea garden all housed in a fine Grade II listed building.

Flemingate entertainment complex, a ten minute walk from the town centre, doesn’t just offer lots of great shopping, it’s a whole day out for all the family. You’ll find fashion, food, fun and film when you visit here as, alongside the big brand names and high street stores, you’ll also find cafes, bars, restaurants and a state-of-the-art cinema showing the latest blockbusters. Add in a 500-space car park, a programme of family friendly events, a new extended outdoor play area with climbing wall, and an indoor inflatable theme park and you’ll see why this has become one of the region’s most popular shopping destinations.
