Walks and picnics are a fantastic way to enjoy the great outdoors. We have hundreds of walks you can follow, many with unique picnic areas along the way, so when you’ve walked up an appetite you can enjoy a snack in exciting woodlands, along stunning clifftops, amidst rolling fields, on a beach or even nestled under the majestic Humber Bridge.  


Town trails

Discover East Yorkshire’s towns and learn of their heritage with the many town trails on offer. Whether you want to learn of Bridlington’s fishing heritage or Beverley’s medieval roots.


Four wheels or two?

Bring your bikes with you and enjoy some of the 150 miles of cycle routes across East Yorkshire, from countryside circulars to seafront trails it’s a great way to take in the view and explore the area. Or if you prefer four wheels, take a scenic drive and enjoy some of the best views in the UK.  


Head to the beach

Of course, the beach is free too and nothing beats that holiday feeling of sand between your toes and the fresh sea air. East Yorkshire has so many coastal options to choose from that you could try a different location each day of your holiday! From coves with caves and rockpools to explore, to big sandy beaches perfect sandcastle building and paddling, to shingly beaches to search for the perfect pebble to skim.
