Families are welcome in East Yorkshire and there are plenty of things for them to see and do while they are here. Keep tots entertained or amuse the tweens at the many amazing attractions in the region that allow kids to explore their imagination and burn off their energy.
Adventure play
From soft play to high ropes, trampolines to den building, children love East Yorkshire – and so do parents. Tackle the low and high ropes together at Let Loose or try out all that’s on offer at Jump Inc indoor urban playground with inflatable slides, trampolines, and zip lines. Or embrace your child’s imagination at William’s Den, where they are encouraged to explore while playing and with both indoor and outdoor play areas they are a perfect choice for rainy days. Enjoy the relaxing smell of lavender growing all around as the kids enjoy the outdoor games and woodland play area at Woldies Lavender and Nature Farm, you can even learn how they distil lavender oil on site.
Animals and wildlife
Be in awe of the half a million seabirds adorning Bempton Cliffs and trying to spot the famous puffins and learn of the region’s rich wildlife. Visit Bridlington Animal Park for bird demonstrations and close encounters with meerkats along with their many other inhabitants. Head to Honeysuckle Farm, for a day on a working farm, getting up close to the animals, enjoying the relaxing country walk and playing in the play area, it’s a fantastic spot for little ones to enjoy.
