Accessible East Yorkshire
Welcome to East Yorkshire, a destination that warmly welcomes all visitors. From accessible beaches and scenic countryside trails to inclusive attractions and welcoming accommodation options, you can relax, safe in the knowledge that your comfort and convenience are at the heart of our hospitality.
Toilet facilities
You'll find accessible public toilets in many of East Yorkshire's towns and popular visitor spots. If you come across an unattended facility, you’ll just need a RADAR key to access it. These are available for £2.50 from the Tourist Information Centres in Beverley and Bridlington. Please note that these accessible toilets are closed overnight between 8pm and 8am.

Getting out and about
When you visit East Yorkshire, you’ll find a range of inclusive wheelchair and bike schemes designed to help everyone enjoy the region’s beautiful outdoor spaces.
In Bridlington, the Landeez beach wheelchair makes seaside adventures easy and fun. Its large, rubber wheels are specially designed for sand and outdoor terrain, so you can get right down to the water’s edge. The wheelchair is free to hire (a £20 refundable deposit is required) and can be booked for a half-day from the Coastal Services Office on Princess Mary Promenade. To arrange hire, simply pop into the office on Bridlington’s South Promenade or call 01262 678255.
If cycling is more your style, the All Ride adapted bike scheme offers a fantastic way for children (5+) and adults with additional needs or mobility challenges to enjoy the North Promenade. Run by local charity R-evolution, the scheme provides a variety of specially adapted bikes to suit different abilities. To book your ride, contact the team directly on 01482 844422.
