Make a splash at Hornsea’s Blue Flag beach

Having kept its Blue Flag status for the last four years, there’s nowhere better to relax and enjoy the scenic views of the North Sea. Behind the beautiful golden sands, you’ll find a wide promenade which is ideal for cycling and walking. Don’t forget to pick up some fish and chips as you stroll along.

Families visiting Hornsea will find plenty to keep the kids entertained. From meeting exotic animals at Bugtopia, to winning big in the arcades, and feeding the sheep at Honeysuckle Farm, there’s plenty of fun to be had. Wassand Hall holds a collection of 18th and 19th century paintings and portraits of past owners as well as a collection of English and European silver, furniture and procelain. The house, gardens and parks are open on selected days during the summer, when teas are available in the conservatory in Wassand's beautiful walled gardens.

Skipsea is just north of Hornsea and is full of historical interest, with the earthworks of an ancient motte-and-bailey castle.
