7 festive afternoon teas to try in East Yorkshire

Celebrate the festive season with a fabulous sparkling afternoon tea in The Manor Rooms on the Drewton Estate in South Cave. An ideal opportunity for a little festive sophistication and elegance with entertainment from the East Riding of Yorkshire Band.

Enjoy a glass of Kir Royale, prosecco or elderflower bubbly whilst tucking into sumptuous finger sandwiches, including butter-roasted turkey. You’ll also find a flaky pig in blanket sausage roll and a mini quiche as part of your savoury selection. Sweet treats include imaginative creations such as a red velvet reindeer, white chocolate bauble with gingerbread and dinky mince pie.

Yorkshire tea or coffee is included.

£39 per person (a children’s version for under 10 year olds is £25 per person and includes a selection of the above, plus a juice).

A vegan friendly afternoon tea is also available.

Sandwiches include truffled egg and turkey club, and other savouries you can expect to find on your afternoon cake stand include poacher straws, sausage roll, and seaweed cracker with beetroot cured salmon. Finger sandwiches of turkey and stuffing and roast ham and honey mustard, sit alongside a locally sourced sausage roll with festive chutney. Homemade cakes include cranberry and white chocolate brownie, deep filled mince pie, brandy-soaked Christmas loaf cake and a zesty lemon posset. And of course, you can’t have afternoon tea without a scone and Sledmere House’s comes with clotted cream and Tiptree jam.

Yorkshire Tea or coffee from Three Ridings comes alongside your food or you can add a Prosecco or pomegranate fizz for an additional charge.
