If you’ve ever visited Drewton’s Farm Shop, you’ll know that it’s a great place to pick up local produce. Their shelves and counters overflow with local food and drink, from breads and cakes to meats and wines, So where better to pick up some festive treats from East Yorkshire businesses this Christmas? Shop from over 30 local food producers and craftspeople who will be showcasing their wares in The Manor Rooms over this full weekend of festive shopping!

Bridlington’s King Street is getting a festive makeover this November. The monthly food festival will run as a special two day event with over 50 stalls offering delicious street food, real ales and Christmas gifts.  

The event coincides with the first ever Bridlington Ice Trail and the switch on of the Bridlington Christmas lights, which both take place on Saturday 16 November. Triple the festive fun!

Get ahead for the Christmas season at the Sledmere Christmas Fair. The magnificent stately home provides the perfect setting for picking up some festive food, drink and gifts. Meet local producers and makers, listen to talks and enjoy watching demonstrations from talented creators to help you create your most perfect Christmas at home.

There is an admission charge of £5 per person but this gives you access to the parkland, walled garden, adventure play area and rare breed farm, as well as the Christmas fair. A full day out for a fiver sounds good to us!

Cottingham is a small village with a huge Christmas spirit. Each year, around 80 stalls take over the streets of this normally peaceful village in a Christmas extravaganza! With everything from handmade decorations to sweet treats and mouthwatering street food on offer, you’re guaranteed to pick up some unique Christmas finds.

There’s also children’s rides, festive entertainment and this year, you can enjoy their live nativity complete with a donkey!

The Beverley Festival of Christmas is one of the UK’s biggest single day Christmas markets and people come from across to the country to experience it.

Each year, on the second Sunday in December, the centre of Beverley is transformed into a magical Christmas shopper’s wonderland, as over 110 stalls brimming with gorgeous Christmas gifts and local treats take over the historic market town. From handmade toys and chocolates to wreaths and freshly roasted chestnuts, the atmosphere is full of festive cheer.

If you love to shop local, head to North Bar Within where there will be a dedicated area to showcase the best of East Yorkshire producers.

Aside from the amazing selection of stalls, there will be a Santa parade, Victorian fairground rides, face painting, birds of prey and live entertainment to keep the whole family entertained. Prepare to soak up the sights, smells and sounds of the festive season!

This is one of Yorkshire’s best Christmas markets and one you won’t want to miss.

Pocklington Christmas Market

Pocklington Marketplace
Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 December 2024, 10am to 6pm

The Pocklington Christmas Market takes place over two days in the middle of December, offering plenty of opportunity to do some last minute Christmas shopping. Shop from 70 stalls which will line the streets of the pretty market town of Pocklington. Expect a great mixture of food, drink and gifts as well as live entertainment and an Apres Ski Bar.

Pocklington has some great independent shops too so be sure to take a stroll around the town too.
