Back to Top of ListDrewton’s huge four-acre field is filled with 35 different pumpkin varieties of all colours and sizes just waiting to be picked and transformed into spooky Halloween creations. Which is handy because there’s a special pumpkin carving area for you to get creative in! And if you’re feeling proud of your scary masterpiece you can enter it into their pumpkin competition and bag some spooktacular prizes too.
Of course, you can’t go pumpkin picking without getting a few snaps for Instagram and you’ll find lots of great photo opportunities at Drewton’s, with specially designed backdrops and cut-outs.
When it’s time to refuel, head to the Pumpkin Shack for a hot drink or a cup of their famous pumpkin soup! Or stop for lunch or a special Halloween themed afternoon tea in the Drewton’s restaurant. Be sure to book ahead though.
Entry is free and dogs are welcome, as long as they’re kept on leads, and you clean up after them.

Once you've found your perfect match, enjoy some drinks and snacks and pose for some cute and cosy autumnal photos. Face painters are even on hand on every Saturdays and Sundays (excluding 27th and 28th September) and during half term week to transform your little pumpkin pickers into scary monsters!
Pumpkin carving kits and accessories are available to buy and you also have the chance to win a family weekend glamping in one of their glamping wagons. Just follow the spooky trail and enter their competition for your chance to win.
Entry to the patch with a charitable donation of your choice to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Dogs aren’t allowed at their general sessions but they do run special Howloween pumpkin picking for dogs which we've covered below.

Back to Top of ListIf you’d like to get your dog involved, you’ll be excited to know that separate ‘dogs only’ sessions are available too! With dog agility, apple bobbing and a pop up shop from local dog boutique, Oh My Dog, your furry friend is set to have the best howl-o-ween ever! And don't forget to dress them up for the occasion as there's a fancy dress competition.
Tickets are £5 per dog and this amount is redeemable against your pumpkin purchases. Tickets need to be purchased in advance.

Back to Top of ListScalby Grange is a family run farm which has been in business for over 30 years. They open throughout the year for various pick your own activities (we love their strawberries too) but come October, it’s all about the pumpkins!
They open from 4th to 31st October 2025 and on Thursday and Friday evenings, they’re open until 8pm for twilight pickings which sounds like the perfect, atmospheric way to pick up your Halloween haul to us! Entry is free with pumpkin pickers just paying for what they take away with them.
There’s also face painting and a petting farm every weekend, plenty of photo opportunities, and the chance to pick up some tasty refreshments. Finding the perfect pumpkin is thirsty work after all!
Free parking and toilet facilities are also available on site and dogs are welcome on the grassed area.

In fact you'll find over 30 different varieties of pumpkins, squash and gourds growing here. Some pumpkins are on the vine so bring your cutters and enjoy the experience of cutting your own fresh pumpkin. Refreshments are available from the Harvest Moon Cafe (a cosy converted horse box) and a cosy tipi provides the perfect place to warm up.

Back to Top of ListEach year, Sandy Bottom Farm grows more than 75,000 pumpkins, squashes and gourds ready to be picked and enjoyed by families across East Yorkshire - that’s a lot of Halloween fun! As well as pumpkins which are obviously the star of the show, there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained, with a 1.5-acre maize maze, craft tent with pumpkin painting, a creepy crawly bug house, pumpkin house and food and drink vendors.
There will also be professional photographer sessions available.
£3 entry for anyone aged 3 and over.

No booking required, just go along and enjoy some relaxed, wholesome pumpkin picking in the fresh autumn air. Lots of different varieties are available and some cute photo moments. There is an entry charge of £1.50 per person.
