What's on along the East Yorkshire Coast

All the way along the magnificent East Yorkshire Coast you'll find events to thrill and excite. In fact, many of the region’s biggest and most popular events take place on East Yorkshire’s sandy shores.

Events take place year-round but with spring comes the start of events season and East Yorkshire beaches, towns and attractions are filled with music, fantastic floral displays, thrilling shows and mouth-watering food.

Festivals on the East Yorkshire Coast

See hundreds of stunning orchids on display at Burton Agnes Hall or get your glad rags on and head to Bridlington’s old town to relive the 1940s with music, dress and dance from this iconic era. Car fanatics will love Bridlington’s classic car show which culminates in two days of retro vehicles roaring across the resort’s south beach. Or why not take your visit to East Yorkshire’s coast to new heights with a trip to Bridlington’s annual kite festival? Soaring above the dramatic cliff tops, watch as some of the world’s largest inflatable kites take to the skies.

To round off the year, embrace your inner Viking with a festival that’s guaranteed to light up your evening. Fireworks, fireballs, a torch-lit procession, music, horns and a drums extravaganza all create a spine-tingling atmosphere at one of the most unique events in East Yorkshire’s calendar, the Flamborough Fire Festival.

RSPB Bempton Cliffs

A visit to RSPB Bempton Cliffs is must-see along the East Yorkshire Coast. It is quite the spectacle to see half a million seabirds gathering there between March and October! To help you get the most from your visit, the team at RSPB Bempton Cliffs offer a year-round events calendar including seabird cruises, guided walks and seasonal family events – their torch-lit Halloween walk complete with marshmallow toasting is ideal for big and little ghouls alike!

Spurn Nature Reserve

Events at the Spurn Nature Reserve are both fun and educational. Join the friendly guides for regular fossil hunts and see what turns up on our Holderness Coast. Or how about taking part in a spurn safari? Journey on an ex-military Unimog and enjoy a three-hour tour with lighthouse visit and a guided walk to discover everything that Spurn has to offer.
