About
The Living Seas Centre is Yorkshire Wildlife Trust's first dedicated marine education centre, showcasing the rich undersea habitats of the North Sea around Flamborough Head. A place to make for if you want to learn more about the fascinating marine species that live in these rich waters.The UK's largest shellfish (crab and lobster) fishery is based close by, at Bridlington. Find out why the upwellings caused by circulating currents off the headland supports such a huge variety of life, watch widescreen video of the undersea kelp forest and chalk reef habitats and their colourful populartions, or join one of the rockpooling events that are run from the Centre to get up close to the smaller inhabitants of the sheltered bay at South Landing. A great place to bring children and hot drinks are available from the centre.
Car parking
There is ample parking available for both cars and coaches right outside the Living Seas Centre. Parking is controlled by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and charges apply as below:
60p for the 1st hour; then 80p per additional hour or £2.90 all day.
You can also purchase an East Riding of Yorkshire Council wide car parking day ticket for £5.40. This will allow parking in any ERYC Long Stay car park on day of purchase. Other ERYC car parks near to the Living Seas Centre include Flamborough Head, Danes Dyke and Sewerby, alongside several car parks in Bridlington.
Coaches are charged at £7.50.

How to get to the Living Seas Centre
The Living Seas Centre is located at South Landing, Flamborough.
By car
From Bridlington take the B1255 towards Flamborough and as you enter the village, follow the signs to South Landing.
From Scarborough take the A165 towards Bridlington. At the Dotterel Roundabout take the 1st exit towards Flamborough.
By public transport
The nearest railway stations are Bridlington (4 miles) or Bempton (3.5 miles).
The nearest bus stop is in Flamborough village (3/4 mile) which is served by EYMS bus route 510 (Bridlington to Flamborough).
The nearest railway station is Bempton, which is 3.5 miles away.
