From the Hull’s rich heritage to hot new takes on music, art, theatre and comedy, the city will be a magnet for fun-loving people keen to enjoy new experiences. Humber Street Sesh features more than 100 acts, with the region’s emerging artists and family-friendly activities united on August 3. Later in the month Freedom Festival brings world-class performances and exhibitions to the city, drawing in large crowds for three full days of fun from August 30. It adds to the constant cultural offerings from deep-sea trawlers to ancient treasures, modern art to maritime heritage, with visitors and residents alike urged to take a journey through local history in the Museum Quarter, or enjoy the heady mix of shopping, from major high street brands to independent places.
